When you create an account or use Venice AI, we collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, business name, and website URL. We also collect usage data such as chatbot conversations, lead information captured through your widget, and analytics about how you use the platform.
Information collected automatically:
- Device type, browser type, and operating system
- IP address and approximate geographic location
- Pages visited, features used, and session duration
- Chatbot interaction data (messages, responses, conversation outcomes)
- Pipeline and CRM data you enter into the platform
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and improve our services, including powering your AI chatbot, generating leads and analytics, processing payments, and sending important service communications. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Specifically, we use your data to:
- Operate and maintain your AI chatbot and pipeline tools
- Process your subscription payments via Stripe
- Send transactional emails (receipts, alerts, rule notifications)
- Improve AI model accuracy and response quality
- Provide customer support and respond to inquiries
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase (built on PostgreSQL) with row-level security policies. All data transmission is encrypted via TLS. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction of your information. Database backups are encrypted at rest and retained for disaster recovery.
4. Third-Party Services
We use third-party services to operate our platform. Each provider processes data according to their own privacy policies:
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription management
- Anthropic — AI model inference (Claude) for chatbot and analysis
- Resend — transactional and notification emails
- Vercel — application hosting and edge functions
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage
- Google APIs — optional OAuth connectors (Sheets, Drive, Gmail)
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for the duration of your active subscription. Chatbot conversation data is retained for 12 months from creation, after which it may be archived or deleted. If you cancel your subscription, your data is retained for 90 days to allow for reactivation, after which it is permanently deleted. You may request earlier deletion at any time.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correction — update or correct inaccurate information
- Deletion — request deletion of your personal data
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Objection — object to certain processing of your data
- Restriction — request limited processing of your data

7. CCPA Disclosure (California Residents)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of any sale of personal information. Venice AI does not sell personal information. To submit a CCPA request, email support@venice.ai with the subject line “CCPA Request.”
8. International Data Transfers
Venice AI is operated from the United States. If you access our services from outside the United States, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international transfers in compliance with applicable data protection laws.
9. Children's Privacy
Venice AI is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child under 16 has provided us with personal data, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
10. Cookies
We use essential cookies to maintain your session and preferences. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. Analytics data is collected in aggregate and does not identify individual users.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by email or through a notice on our platform. Your continued use of Venice AI after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
